RIP THE RAMONES

I should of posted this a couple of days ago. Mourning the end of The Ramones’ legacy, I drank a little too much which set me a little in my daily routine. Tommy Ramone, the original drummer for The Ramones and the band’s last surviving original member, died last Friday at the age of 65 of cancer. Its a little piece of pop culture drifted on. To me The Ramones are one of my faves. They are one of the originals of the NY seventies Punk Scene. they brought an original, carefree, poppy, fifties, style of punk to the  NY scene. Lost but not forgotten, they will be played and  remembered forever.

RIP KEITH VIDAL

I  wanted to give my condolences to the Vidal family. I too have family a member that sufferers from a mental illness and has also been the victim to over excessive police violence. He was only a child that suffered from a real brain disorder. He was only 18. Mental illness is no different then physical illnes, people need to have equal compassion. He was full of obvious talents. He was excessively tasered  and restrained with restraints when he was brutally murder by a police officer. This is happening way too often. Why is something not being done on a political and social level. Cops need better training.

Miami Beach Artist Israel Hernandez-Llach AKA Reefa unfortunately died due to excessive police brutality. A promising youth, well liked and successful. My heart goes out to his friends and family. I hope he lives on vicariously through his art………….
